S88 - Build temperature and agitator control equipment modules (with subtitles)
This video demonstrates how an equipment module may be designed in Spike. The temperature control equipment module has a user configurable setpoint for determining the actual temperature control setpoint. The desired behaviour is recorded, and these recordings are used to create commands. This module implements heating control only and is reverse acting.
The agitator control equipment module has 2 user configurable setpoints; one for enabling agitator level control, and one for determining the level cut off setpoint. There is some logic that must continuously execute. This logic is programmed inside the continuous function block (CFB) module in the equipment module. Some equipment module commands are defined to enable and disable control.
In both cases an exportable equipment module functional design spec report is automatically generated.
